Working at Coach Parker Basketball Academy can be one of the most rewarding and valuable experiences of your life. You'll be around sports and athletes in an environment that is both challenging and supportive. Educating athletes is the cornerstone of our program. We want our coaches to develop significant relationships with each athlete. We truly believe that through quality basketball skill development and education we can reach out to today's youth to help offer the skills training they need to succeed – on and off the court. It is very important to us that all of our summer employees read and understand our mission and history. We hope you will decide to help carry on the tradition of excellence through Coach Parker Basketball Academy. Summer camp programs are located at Sandy Spring Friends School, in Sandy Spring, Maryland.
Minimum: Must have been a High school varsity player or had previous coaching experience. Preference will be given to college athletes.
References will be contacted and thoughtfully considered.
Minimum: GED (except Junior Coaches) Preference will be given to those currently excelling in college and to college graduates.
Camp coaches must be able to relate and interact with athletes, parents, other coaches, and those in leadership with a professional, appropriate, and meaningful manner.
Camp coaches must have a thankful, outgoing, and enthusiastic personality.
We are a camp based on principles and values. Coach Parker Basketball Academy desires physical, emotional, and relational growth and development for both campers and coaches. Coaches must be able to lead a thoughtful discussion with athletes on the topics such as goal setting, peer pressure, confidence, teamwork, and family.
